Description of the project: Expansion and modernization of the entire home.
Challenge: To expand and update a 40-year-old, dated ranch-style home into a modern home with contemporary conveniences.
Solution: Gut the home, reconfigure the space, and add 1,100 square feet of additional space to include a media room, office, guest bedroom, and bath. The house location – on a hillside – allowed us to use the expanded downstairs space for some of these rooms.
Result: a larger, completely modernized home that met the client’s expectations and desires.

Description of the project: Redesign and rebuild an existing kitchen.
Challenge: To make the kitchen larger, more efficient, and up to date for a young family.
Solution: Push the kitchen wall out 3 feet under an existing porch roof, (eliminating added roof work and keeping with the original footprint of the building) and redesign the kitchen to make it more efficient.
Result: A modern, spacious and more functional kitchen.

Description: New 4000 square foot multi-level home and separate pool cabana in Los Gatos Foothills, replacing an older home.
Challenge: To build the home on a slight hillside, in a way that it would blend with the natural topography and tree cover and take advantage of the local views and views of the valley.
Result: A beautiful new home nestled into the surrounding area as if it was always there.

Description: Turned an existing covered breezeway between the house and garage into a Sun Room that feels like it is part of the back yard.
Challenge: To create a usable space with the feeling of an open porch, yet protected from the weather.
Solution: By making the ceiling vault and using a lot of glass and French doors, the new Sun Room is filled with natural light and feels completely open to the outside, allowing the family to bring the beautiful backyard into the house.
Result: Additional usable square footage was added to the house within the existing building line. The room feels like a part of the beautifully landscaped rear yard, but is an integral part of the house protected from the elements.

Challenge: To reconfigure a house we completely remodeled 15 years ago to meet the current needs of the client.
Solution: Add a family room and entry porch. Increase the size of the master bedroom, add a new, larger master bathroom, and redesign the kitchen.
